Bushnell 363500 Onix 350 GPS with sensors Review

Bushnell 363500 Onix 350 GPS with sensors
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got the Onix350 during a wootoff for about $65. The hardware is excellent. The software is incredibly bad.The pros and cons are below:

Pros:

The GPS system is extremely sensitive and unlike the majority of GPS systems, can acquire satellite signals below deep forest canopies.I had read about this capability before I bought the unit, and choose it for that reason.I live in the middle of the woods and wanted a unit that would work while hiking in the heavily wooded areas near my home.In fact, the unit acquires signals inside my house which is surrounded by trees.I am writing this review in my living room, and the unit has acquired seven satellites with three in the green (strong signal). My garmin unit cannot acquire a single satellite when I am inside the house.I do not know whether this is due to the electronics or a good antennae, but it matters not ... this unit has superb signal acquisition.

The display is very good but not outstanding. It is plenty bright, but the resolution is only medium. But the color is excellent and the ability to overlay either topographic maps or aerial maps is a very nice feature. But you will have to pay for these maps, and you should count on adding at least another $20 to collect enough maps to make this unit useful (see below).

Cons:

The web software is terrible. The Bushnell web site is disorganized and seemingly designed to prevent the user from getting to where they want to be.For simply registering the product, you get four free downloads which is enough to get you around your neighborhood, and thats it.The maps are small in area coverage, and hard to download. You will need to use trial and error to get what you want, so only having four free downloads is a tease and an insult.

If you are running Vista, then I recommend you buy another GPS.The combination of Vista paranoia and the Bushnell web site makes it nearly impossible to download maps. There is no Mac support, so forget about that as well. But I was able to download maps using Windows XP, although the process was convoluted and tiresome. The instructions are obscure, and often incorrect.Downloading maps to the GPS is a three or four step process, involves multiple windows, great patience and adequate karma. You will be cussing out the software engineers who designed this junk well before you have achieved success.I am guessing the software development was farmed out to Siberian potato farmers without access to computers or heat.

Summary:

Great hardware, terrible software.Count on adding another $20 for map downloads. This will give you unlimited downloads for 90 days.I paid $30 for one year of "free" map downloads, but in retrospect, the extra $10 may have been a mistake.I will lose patience long before 90 days are up.Nevertheless, after you suffer the indignation of dealing with the obscure and obscenely incompetent map download system, you will have an excellent GPS that works well in the deep forest.I know of no other GPS with comparable signal acquisition capabilities.

Product Description:
Combining satellite photography and navigational aids on a single screen, the Bushnell Onix 350 GPS navigator lets you plot your course by comparing your surroundings with the pictures in your palm. As a result, you can easily find your way back to the car whether you're hunting or hiking in the woods. The Onix 350 works by layering a satellite photo, topographical map, compass, and other navigational aids on the extra-large, 3.5-inch full-color LCD display. Because you see all the images and aids on the same screen, you eliminate all of the guesswork of GPS navigation. This means you don't have to worry about taking a wrong turn or making an "educated" guess that the tree patch on the left is supposed to be there. The Onix 350 also includes barometric pressure and temperature sensors, helping you predict changing weather conditions. In general, lower pressure brings inclement weather, while high pressure brings stability and clear skies. And fishermen will love the unit's Solunar Edge technology, which provides sun and moon tables to determine optimal animal and fish activity times.
Other details include a SafeTrack battery conservation mode that helps the Onix 350 run for up to 30 hours; a user-friendly interface that provides easy access to all of the features and controls; a self-calibrating three-axis digital compass; an embedded 512 MB microSD card; and a rugged, waterproof rubber armor.

CYMA 030 Electric Airsoft Pistol Semi/Full Auto AEP 300 fps Metal Gear Box Review

CYMA 030 Electric Airsoft Pistol Semi/Full Auto AEP 300 fps Metal Gear Box
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Against Mid- to high-grade rifles, this gun makes a fine sidearm. Compared to guns that you might buy at Dick's Sporting Goods at similar prices, however, this is a beast. If you don't want a long review, skip ahead now. Don't say I din;t warn you.
Structure
I purchased my g18c for about $50 plus 1 $20 cyma-brand high-cap. The gun itself looked and felt like a million bucks- it was heavy for the pistol weight I was used to, but this in no way hampered my use of it, one- or two-handed. The main body of the gun was made of solid plastic which felt perfectly solid and comfortable to grip. If it was dropped from four feet onto concrete, it would probably have a big scratch, but not have any serious damage (don't test me on that XD). If it was dropped onto soil, I wouldn't imagine it being damaged at all. The upper barrel and trigger were metal, which weren't particularly shiny, so they blended in with the rest of the gun quite well. To remove to upper barrel, there was a little button on the back of the pistol where the hammer would be on a different model pistol. Pushing it would release the upper barrel, revealing the slot for the battery. Unfortunately, the battery is shaped much differently from the average battery, you there isn't much you can do for it along the lines of upgrading or smart chargers. To remove the battery once inserted, there was a level to the side which you could press to eject the battery. I would use a little care when doing this, however, as I once ejected it too harshly, breaking the top of the battery off, which was a pain to deal with. In addition, you should be careful not to charge the battery more than two hours per charge, aside from the very first charge. I overcharged mine constantly, causing the battery life to dwindle down to a few days, even when it wasn't being used. The magazine was perfect- it holds about 29 BBs, is made of metal, therefore weighing about one-third of what the gun weighs, and has NO PROBLEMS. No fractures, no over-powerful springs, nada. The plastic high-cap, however, isn't as reliable. At first, mine worked okay. But it didn't take long before I couldn't load more than about 30 BB before the spring would shoot them straight out of the magazine as soon as I removed my speed loader from the cap. Thinking it was just a chance defect, I ordered another, only to find it had the same problem. I even removed one of the two connected springs in the magazine, but that still didn't help. Overall, I would not recommend buying the Cyma-brand high-cap magazine.

Performance (what you actually care about)
The fps using high-grade .2g BBs (you should only use high-grade BBs in this, in case you didn't know) is about 220-250. The ROF for this is spectacular compared to other guns of the same price, being between around 11rps by my estimates, beating even the $100 Pulse R72 that my friends use, as well as perhaps my $125 CM030a M14 Socom. The downside of this is that it burns through a 28-round magazine like wild fire. Soon after buying and using this gun, you learn to keep it on semi-auto and only use full auto when you have a perfect shot. As far as range goes, once the hop-up is dial correctly, I'd say you could get a hit on a man-sized target in one shot at about 80 feet every time. It still works well at 90-110 feet on semi auto, and can go another 20 or so feet on full auto (though that isn't recommended, as stated above). Like any pistol, it doesn't have a stock, so it's less stable when being fired than a rifle, but is much smaller, letting it excel in close quarters.
This means that, compared to other $50 LPEGs like Double Eagle's M85, its effective range is a force to be reckoned with. Against higher quality guns on the lower spectrum of effective ranger, it will still get you as close as you need to be to get a hit. Compared to the average higher-quality gun, such as an M4 clone, however, the range doesn't quite cut it, especially if you're using full-auto (my field has restrictions on auto using more powerful guns, so I didn't have to worry about that), so this is best used as a sidearm, especially if you're a sniper. The areas where the CYMA G18C trumps an M4 clone, on the other hand, are CQB, and, of course, price. As stated above, this pistol was really designed for close quarters battles, where its high ROF and compactness give it an edge over even the best AEG.

Final Comments and Pros/Cons
I've had this gun for about 8 months, put more rounds through it than I care to count, and the only flaw it has so far is that it double-fires about half of the time (that problem didn't arise for a while; by then I had a new gun). When it does misfire, one BB goes about three-fifths as far as it should, while the other goes about two-fifths as far as it should, making it a blessing in disguise for close quarters, but not so much at long ranges. Besides that, the gun and standard metal magazine still work and look like a charm. The only other complaint I have is the problem with the plastic high-cap mag, as stated above. According to other reviews I've read from people who have done so themselves, the gun is upgradable and compatible with Tokyo Marui parts, though it can be a pain to reassemble after being taken apart. So pros and cons:
Pros
Solid
Range (for $50)
FPS (for $50)
ROF (period)
Upgradable (according to other people)
CHEAP!
weight (feels nice n solid :P)
Compact

Cons
Build (If you need some kind of full-metal industrial strength gun that can survive being run over by a tank on a unicycle, this isn't the gun for you)
ROF (for those of you that need obnoxious amounts of BBs being shot every second)
FPS (for those of you that need more than just 230)
Range (for those of you that need the kind of range that only a higher quality gun can grant)
No stock
Low capacity

For a $50 gun, I couldn't give this anything but a 5/5. However, some may want to use this in battles against bigger guns, so for this, I give it a 3/5 as a primary arm, a 4/5 as a sidearm, and 4.5/5 for purely CQB. To anyone that uses it, though, I would highly recommend spare magazines, though not CYMA's high-caps.

Northern Industrial Super SearchEye Spotlight - 10 Million Candlepower Review

Northern Industrial Super SearchEye Spotlight - 10 Million Candlepower
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you want the ULTIMATE in spot lights, go find some of the 25 Million Candle Power units available. If this doesn't do it for you, then you truly ARE a flashaholic.

I like the two level brightness feature but really prefer a variable dimmer instead. When the light is on low, I only got half a beam. I don't know if this was because the bulb was still cold, or that's how it runs. I get a full beam on high.

The instructions say to plug the unit in for 20-24 hours to condition the battery, but no more than 36, before your first use. There after, charging should take 16-18 hours. The problem is the instructions say the red light will flash when it charges - it never did. I pulled the battery and charged it with my own lead battery charger and it indicated a full charge. Yet, the light never blinks. Either the manual is wrong, or the light doesn't work right. This is bad because there is no auto shut off and over charging a lead battery too long can be damaging, if not dangerous. No trickle charging so it can not be plugged indefinately.

At 7 amps, you might get 45-60 minutes of BRIGHT light on the battery. I suppose you could get a higher amperage battery for longer run times because the charger doesn't know the difference. However, now you have the problem of heat for prolonged periods of time. That's only if your run it to death.

Take this into the darkest room you can find and bring some friends for the "whoa" factor. Shine it straight at the ceiling and turn it on....wow...the room is lit...put on full and WHOA...who turned on the lights? Should be expected as this unit has a bulb of 80 watts.

One of the nice features is the included auto adaptor. Plug into the charge hole to charge it in your car. Plug it into the other hole and run it off any external 12 volt batty. I tried it with a 12v pack I made of 10 NiMh D-cells. This is a great idea so you can run it when you are stationary, but still have a full battery to go mobile. NEVER RUN THE LIGHT WHILE CHARGING!

In all, a great distance and lighting tool. Comes with everything you need including straps, and adjustable legs. Never shine this in the eyes of a person or animal unless it is self defense. At closer distances it is like looking at the sun. Light up your block today!

Currie Technologies e-Zip E400 Electric Scooter Review

Currie Technologies e-Zip E400 Electric Scooter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We bought these scooters for our kids for Christmas. While our kids are under the recommended age (7 and 9), we started our kids riding bikes and motorized toys very early in life so we had no concerns and we never let them ride anything unsupervised.I must say that I am very impressed with these scooters. My kids have ridden them almost non-stop.So far the only issue we've had is the kickstands have broken on both of them but they've been tanks in terms of build quality otherwise (they've crashed a few times).I was surprised with how much power they have and even move my 200 lb frame quickly on everything but steep inclines.I'll keep the review short and just do a summary list.

Pros:
- Power (with very smooth acceleration)
- Durability (except kickstand)
- Ride comfort (smooth ride and nice seat)
- Size (small enough for them but big enough for me and my wife)
- Charges faster than any similar motorized vehicle we own (still takes 5-6 hours from low though)
- Good battery life (given the performance...about and hour and a half was as long as we've lasted)

Cons:
- Heavy (makes lifting into our truck or car a workout)
- Brakes can require a fair amount of adjusting to get right

So far, I'm glad we chose this over the Razor E300.

DXG DXG-608 6.0 MegaPixel Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2" LCD Review

DXG DXG-608 6.0 MegaPixel Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2' LCD
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Be warned, I'm a bit bitter and vexed with this product, see cons for details, and this is only based on my experience with the camera...but for the short part: I'd reccommend against this camera, most likely.

(p.s. lemme know if you can, if you find a typo, I'd hate let one I didn't find sit)

So, here's the long story:
What I found to be PRO'S with this camera: it takes digital pictures, they're ok looking, it's not really heavy, I like the twisty wheel thingy on top to change from different picture/movie/download-to-computer/whatever modes, you can turn off the viewfinder so it saves battery (a bit anyway, and it REALLY needs it), it has MACRO mode (yea!), and oh yeah, it was free 'cause it was a gift.I think I'd be dissapointed if I paid money for it, because of the cons...

CONS:the pictures are not "crystal" or "sparkling" or whatever clear they call them. They're ok, maybe good, but my HP took about the same with 1 less MP, but alas, the HP got lost...
It takes a while to turn on.
It seems to take forever to take pictures some times
The flash selector automatically gets shut off if you switch to macro-but doeesn't get set back to whatever you had when you went to macro. This means that you have to cycle through all the flash settings again, which means the camera then has to take 3 or 4 seconds to think about what you just told it, and then it gets itself ready again
AND HERE'S THE BIG ONE:Search as I might, I can't seem to find a spare battery for this thing.Maybe I'll find one, one day.Maybe not.[[UDATED a few days later: so, I finally found a battery today (after 9 months of looking) which is servicable in this function, by a 3rd party.I found it at Frys, and I only found it because we're visiting Chicago... they're not a chain they have in most places I've ever been. It's the LENMAR DLC1LH.I charged it in the camera's battery charger dock, and that didn't blow up.The camera turned on and off without blowing up, so I think (fingers crossed!) it might work.Still not too happy with the company or camera...anyway, back to the old story]]The camera takes what I believe is a propriatary battery, some rectangular NBL1 model. Not standard AA or AAA's...Granted, it's rechargable, and takes less than 2 hours usually (but the recharger dock is finicky on how you slip the battery in-you may "think" you're charging...and find out the next morning when you head to the park that you didn't).And unlike the standard AA or AAA's mentioned above, you can't just go to the store when you say, well, this time I"ll just buy the non-rechargable, because I need to use the camera, and I"ll recharge the battery later. No, you say: "Arg! The battery's dead.No pictures for me!"And since, when fully charged, the battery lasts around 3-4 hours, if you turn off the LCD screen and turn it off when you're not taking pictures every several minutes (less if you just keep using it), this will not last you even one day.Barely a morning, and by the afternoon at the zoo, you can only look at the animals and remember.Or, try to memorize what your 9 year old daughter looked like while she was perched on that bronze gorilla, etc.

Also, if for some reason the battery dies while the camera is on (e.g. because you've got the LCD screen off, and thus can't see the battery status icon, which is hard to decipher anyway), the camera will now be stuck in the OPEN position, with the little lense tube thing stuck in the OUT position. Therefore, it no longer fits into it's protective case.
If the universe decides to really ruin your day, and it runs out while you're taking a video, as it did to me, and it's actually trying to write data to the SD memory card, you're totally screwed. Not only is the camera stuck in the open position, but: 1. it was then impossible to delete the photos taken before it died off of the memory card (they mostly did transfer to the computer at least).2. that particular movie clip and one taken just before it were scrambled such that they not only couldn't play, but they crashed/froze/partially froze both my computer, and my husband's when he tried his.3.The memory card refused to be formatted, via the camera, or several computers.4.The memory card no longer let you take pictures on it.So, 5.You need a new memory card. Joy.

The camera some times gets weird glitches where it will shadow a previous picture onto the following pictures, or go all funny with weird distorded odd colored bars horizontally over the screen, which transfer to the picture. This can look cool, but it can also ruin an important picture...

The DXG company website seems to forgot it made this and probably other older cameras, and doesn't seem to sell spare batteries of any sort, so I don't know where you'd find one, except maybe used somewhere (Updated: Found one, at last, at Frys, see above update).

Anyway, to wrap things up, consider long and hard before you buy this.If you can find an extra battery before you buy, or aren't going to use it that often/long, maybe it will work out.Otherwise, you may be better off with something with similar features, but with AA or AAA or other readily available batteries. (update: I'd still rather have the AA or AAA or something universally available at, say, a gas station! than this thing, if these crap out, I've gotta find another Frys or go online, and wait for shipping...) Good luck, whatever you choose!

Well P-90 Laser Red Dot Airsoft Electric Review

Well P-90 Laser Red Dot Airsoft Electric
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this gun and was surprised when it first came in. It arrived four days after I had ordered it, which is very fast when ordering these kinds of things. I charged the battery, loaded the gun and went outside to try it out. The range is decent, good for medium to close range fire fights. Within that distance the accuracy is good, but when you get around 15-20 meters away the bbs start to curve. The rate of fire is better than I expected, I ran out of ammo after about ten minutes of target practice. The scope that came with the gun is only for looks. The scope does nothing to help your accuracy and the red dod in the center actually gets in the way. If you get this gun I advise that you do not use the scope while you are playing. The flash light that came with the gun is very bright. It will help alot if you play in dark areas, but its brightness will give away your position if you are not careful. This gun has a great firing rate, decent accuracy, amazing ammo capacity, and a decent range. I recommend this gun for any first time players and even for veterans of the game. The price is good, the gun looks cool and plays good, and the package comes with everything that you may need to play the game.

Zero X Electric Motorcycle Review

Zero X Electric Motorcycle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought my Zero summer 2008, put close to 600 miles on it before the snow hit. Have taken it everywhere you would take a motorcycle in the hills of Western Montana. Since I'm the only Zero in the woods around here, rode with a lot of motorcycles, in the woods the Zero blew them away due to its agility and quickness.
Used it during hunting season, for hunting the Zero is deadly quiet....eliminated several coyotes who tried to figure out what a Zero was.
The electric features have been talked about, but what's really special about the Zero is its forgiving nature. It has a level power band which means you can move at a crawl and then punch it without the usual lag, associated with motorcycles even new 4 strokes...Did more sightseeing with this bike because just riding it is addictive. This bike lets you completely forget about managing your motor and enjoy the ride.
Really, comparing the Zero to a motorcycle isn't fair......to the motorcycle that is.

Product Description:
A full-sized, high-performance electric motorcycle, the Zero X is built from the ground up using revolutionary electric motorcycle technology. Boasting 50 pounds of torque, the proprietary Z-Force drive train supplies the raw power needed to stealthily race up hills, fly over jumps, and plunge through streams. Elimination of combustion noise makes aggressive riding possible without the disruption of nature or neighbors. The Z-Force drive train and specially-engineered, aircraft-grade aluminum frame combine to form a motorcycle that is fast, light, and clean. An exceptional power-to-weight ratio and spontaneous acceleration make the Zero X stand out in the dirt.
Frame
Welded by hand by highly-skilled aluminum welders, the Zero X features double pass welds in critical areas and other techniques to ensure against failures. After welding, the entire frame is heat treated to restore the strength around the weld areas. The heat treatment process involves heating the frame in a furnace and then solution-bath quenching the hot metal. Finally, critical areas such as pivots, brake mounts, and chain-guide mounts are re-milled for absolute accuracy.

Hydroformed top tub for increased strength and reduced weight
Massive swingarm for increased strength and torsional rigidity (better cornering and tracking)
Large cylindrical swingarm cross tube for increased stiffness and suspension response
Thru-axle rear hub for exponentially increased strength and rigidity
Entire frame is shot-peened and anodized for resistance to corrosion and abrasion
Organic frame gusseting for increased strength and smoother body lines

Motor and Energy

The Fast Charger will fully recharge your battery in less than two hours.

The power packs deliver 300 amps of current without overheating, offering a strong power-to-weight ratio.

Zero's magnet electric motor delivers over 20 horsepower and requires very little maintenance. Zero only uses safe second-generation lithium ion cells to ensure against thermal runaway (fire). The power packs also feature an intelligent monitoring system that constantly tracks the voltage and temperature of each and every cell. Additionally, the power packs deliver 300 amps of current without overheating, offering a strong power-to-weight ratio. Zero's permanent magnet electric motor delivers over 20 horsepower and requires very little maintenance.
Drivetrain
To accommodate the Zero X's increased traction and ability to accelerate in the dirt a hardened steel 420 chain and direct drive gearing are used. The result is a stronger and more durable drivetrain that puts the power from the throttle directly into the dirt.

    Hardened steel 420 Chain
Front and rear accompanying 420 Sprockets
Larger rear sprocket mounting/bolt pattern for increased durability and better management of high torque acceleration

Suspension
The Zero suspension system is tough enough to handle monstrous jumps and includes custom-built, fully-adjustable hydraulic front forks. The rear suspension is a unique double diamond swingarm and adjustable coil-spring rear shock.
Handling
To take full advantage of the Zero X's spontaneous acceleration, the handling was refined based on the comments of pro riders. The result is that this electric dirt bike provides the control you need for quick handling in tight situations.

Direct mount (to fork crown) double clam stem for increased rigidity and control
Increased rise and reduced reach stem for better control and stability
Wider, taller, and stronger full sized dirt bike handlebar
Higher strength hardened race headset for longer life and smoother turning

Brakes

6 pot calipers front and rear
    Larger 9-inch rotor in front
Increased reservoir size for more responsive braking under high strain
High thermal mass rear rotor for improved heat transfer

Instrument Panel and System Upgrades
A quick look at the instrument panel tells you everything you need to know on the Zero X. All the important dials and switches are centrally located. The accompanying wiring system is also designed for increased safety and electrical system longevity. The Zero X also comes with a keyed ignition.

Easy access to gauges and switches with "quick look" clustered instrumentation

Zero uses a revolutionary lithium-ion technology that is non-toxic. The Zero power pack does not contain toxic metals such as cobalt, nickel, lead, or mercury. They are rated for land-fill disposal in the US, Canada, and Europe are also completely recyclable.
Zero's permanent magnet electric motor delivers over 20 horsepower and requires very little maintenance. The motor uses considerably less steel and copper of other DC motors and delivers a strong power-to-size ratio.

Suunto X9i Wrist-Top GPS Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, and GPS (Tan) Review

Suunto X9i Wrist-Top GPS Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, and GPS
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Should have ordered a Garmin etrex and a sunto vector.Amazon shipped me the wrong color watch...but I was in Iraq and needed a watch and didn't want to wait another 4 weeks to get one. Then it broke (the cover/bezel/frame) the third time I used it.

Pros:
1. Small (compared to other GPS watches)
2. Accurate (compared to military maps and GPS)
3. has MGRS
4. good quality charger/acessories/softwear
5. battery lasts a long time (w/o using GPS) before needing to be recharged

Cons:
1. because it's small, it has hard to use button combos
2. does not appear sturdy and it broke easily (but still works)
3. if I am moving at all, I can't get a fix.
4. Need a computer to take full advantage of features

Product Description:
The ultimate tool for the cross-sports enthusiast who wants to plan his or her journey carefully, the Suunto X9i wrist-top GPS is compact (it's the world's smallest outdoor GPS), well-designed, and straightforward. The unit combines an advanced GPS system with a host of route functions, so you'll always know where you are and where to go next. The system is particularly useful when exploring unfamiliar terrain, such as during long hikes, camping excursions, or backroad cycling trips. Add in such features as an altimeter (ideal for climbers), barometer, digital compass, thermometer, and several training tools and you have a versatile, powerful device that's prepared for almost any outdoor scenario.
In addition to helping you plot routes, the X9i's GPS computer indicates the direction of an upcoming waypoint, calculates the remaining distance, and estimates the arrival time. Meanwhile, users who like to pace themselves while cycling or hiking will appreciate the "current speed" and "distance traveled" readings. And when you're ready to head home, simply activate the Find Home setting, which guides you back to the starting point or home position, or the Track Back function, which retraces a recorded route.
Safety always comes first when hiking in the wilderness, which is why the X9i comes with an altimeter to measure the altitude and vertical speed, a 3D digital compass, and a barometer that reads sea level pressure and absolute pressure. You can also program the alarm to sound you when you reach a specific altitude or warn you of upcoming storms. And should you find yourself stranded during inclement weather, the compass and altimeter will help guide you to safety.
The X9i excels as a training tool as well. The altimeter is great for climbers and hikers, while the stopwatch and advanced timing functions let you record lap and split times of runs and other activities. Users can then feed the recorded information into the specially designed Trek Manager PC software to analyze and plan their training (it even keeps a training diary). And those who want to gain a deeper understanding can create their own activity reports, complete with photos and text.
From a GPS perspective, Trek Manager helps users plan their routes on a digital map, print out customized maps, and download routes directly to the X9i. Other functions include the ability to edit and erase existing routes and create graphical altitude profiles so that route planning is fast, accurate, and simple.
Finally, all the features are built within a sporty tan wrist-top housing that functions as a regular watch when you're not exercising. Additional features include a USB charger and PC connector (for charging via a PC), an easy-to-use menu-based interface, and water-resistance to 100 feet. The X9i weights 0.17 pounds and is backed by a two-year warranty on parts and labor.
What's in the Box
Suunto X9i, charger, PC interface cable, software CD, pocket guide, user's manual.

Razor E100 Electric Scooter Review

I read the reviews!.. its slow, the back tire is small and solid and when you brake it gets the flat lines like the original scooters...Phoey! stay on the straight surfaces, no driveways to kill the back tire...This thing is built VERY well, its quiet, fast enough for a 7-8 year old and the brake is in the front so how others got back tires to go flat is beyond me. The throttle is so good you dont need the brake 99% of the time. For 99.00 this is the most fun my 7 year old has had in a long time, he cant wait for the batteries to charge again :) This is 300% more scooter than we all got 2 years go.

I bought this for my father-in-law for Xmas, they needed something lightweight for taking the dog out for his night walk. He's an organic farmer so I thought he would appreciate that it never uses batteries. It is quite bright, it's small like the size of the 2AA mag light. After I saw his and held it I bought one for myself to use for emergencies and around the house. It has a durable feel to it, so I let the kids use it for play and now I don't have to waste batteries on their Snoopy flashlights. But my toddler did manage to bang it so much that it stopped working for a bit.I unscrewed some things and screwed them back, seems fine now, but I probably need to get another one and not let the baby have it!Rechargeable rules!

Crosman Pulse R76 Tactical Full Or Semi-Auto Electric AirSoft Rifle (Clear and Black) Review

Crosman Pulse R76 Tactical Full Or Semi-Auto Electric AirSoft Rifle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
thics gun is soooo cool it has the fastest rate of fire i have ever seen in an airsoft gun... it has a nice stock and a good safty

pros:
cool design,
awesome firing rate,
sturdy design,
easy to understand instructions,
good rails and clip,
easy to adjust hop up,
very acurate

cons:
bad strap,
the battery plug can get stuck easy,
the stock gets in the way of the safety lever sometimes,
the clip is hard to reload and the gun goes through a lot of rounds as a consequence of the rate of fire

the bottom line is that this is a great gun but u may want to buy some things to help u use it better like a strap and speedloader... if u want to pwn and lay down heavy suppressive fire

"update"

i have gotten to use this gun in an "airsoft war" situation and, O... M... G... beat both my bro and neighbor with it and also beat multiple other people in a team

there are a couple technical things that came up

(new pros)
the gun is durable

(new cons)
the stock gets weaker as time goes by
other AK47 model mags do not fit into the gun... but the mag for this one fits into other guns

(things i did to the gun)
i took the top rails off... the top rail is only a peice of plastic attached to the top battery cover with 3 phillips head screws
i used the bipod from my sniper to turn this gun effectively into a support machine gun

Coleman High Performance Rechargeable Pump - Red/ Grey Review

Coleman High Performance Rechargeable Pump - Red/ Grey
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this rechargeable pump for use with an inflatable boat.I was initially looking for the earlier model of the Coleman Rechargeable Quick Pump, but could not find it in my local Target store. It is about 3 dollars more and is slightly larger.

Took it on a 3 day boating trip, having to inflate a 14 foot boat(With NARU valvles) 4 times. Now the adapters did not fit the valves (too small), but sufficiently inflated the boat by placing the pump directly in the valve. It inflated fast considering the size of the boat.

Each time the pump stayed on for about 5 minutes.Since then I've used it 2 more times(6 total) without recharging (which is about 30-40 minutes of total battery use) and surprisingly there's no faintness in the power of the air pump.

It's a little loud, but compared to a friend's Coleman Pump I mentioned above, it is noticeably quieter. It also has a little storage bay on the back of the pump to put the nozzle heads, which is nice, but it is slightly loose so be careful not to lose them. This is definitely a handy pump to have that would work on all sorts of inflatable items.Overall i'm very happy with this pump.

UPDATE:The charger lasted even longer than I mentioned, and finally died after 9 uses over the span of a month. That's approximately 45-55 minutes of the pump turned on before discharging.

M83a2 Electric Auto Airsoft Machine Gun Laser M16 Review

M83a2 Electric Auto Airsoft Machine Gun Laser M16
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This gun is very good! It shoots at a decent speed and it is very accurate for a certain distance until it starts to curve(I don't know the distance, but I would say at least as long as the average backyard, if not more). This gun should be wonderful for backyard wars(haven't got to battle with it yet). I thought I would need a more powerful gun, but I realized that nobody would want to play with me if I kept shooting them with a really powerful gun at short distances. The hop up works extremely well. I can aim the gun down (no more than an angle of 45 degrees) and the BB's still curve up enough so it doesn't hit the ground(because of the hop up). The only thing I don't like about the gun is that the barrels are made of cheap plastic and can break off the gun easily. When my friend was playing with it, he accidentally hit me with the barrel and it snapped off. I fixed it with superglue and heavy duty tape though. The seller, Airsoft Central, is awesome and I give them a 5 out of 5! Overall, this gun is probably the best gun you could get for the price for backyard wars. It is defiantly my gun of choice(for backyard wars of course ;)]!

Blackburn Flea Rear Flasher Bicycle Taillight Review

Blackburn Flea Rear Flasher Bicycle Taillight
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Great light to chuck on the back of my helmet strap for a higher lightpoint to supplement the mars 3.0 on my seatpost. I do a lot of night riding and even after a 1 1/2 months the battery is still not dead (chase mode, at least 15 hours). It's super bright but i only use it as supplementary to a more comprehensive light system (Cygolite 350 mitycross on front, mars 3.0 on seatpost, cateye on the rear rack point on my road bike. This is typically combined with reflective gear when I'm doing serious riding. I'd much rather not get hit by a car again and a lack of visibility will be no excuse if I do.) I'm also going to add the front flea soon to the front of my helmet and possibly one for the handlebars of my commuter bike).

However, I would invest your money in the usb charging version. I haven't had to use the battery charging system yet but it seems like a hassle.

- Took +4 months for the battery to finally wear down. And I was wrong about the battery charging system, its wicked simple and easy; is excellent in case I go on any ultra-long bike journeys.

Great light and bright enough for what I wanted it for.My biggest gripe with this light is the placement of the on/ off switch which is under the light itself and when attached to the included cap it can be hard to turn on and off.A plus; it does bring a replacement bulb which is inside the light when one opens it.

I ordered the EZIP 1000 several months ago and have been thoroughly impressed with the value for the money that the scooter has provided since I received it.I originally purchased the scooter to run around my neighborhood. However, I have found myself using it far more than I imagined. The scooter folds up easily so I am able to put it in my car and use it in a variety of places and on various terrains.....it runs great on sidewalks, concrete, grass, and dirt.I weigh 200+lbs and the scooter provides plenty of power and zip.Riding the scooter is very smooth and it's easy to steer thanks to the full suspension.Additionally, the scooter is very quiet.I have enjoyed this scooter very much and would highly recommend it!

Garmin Dakota 20 Waterproof Hiking GPS Review

Garmin Dakota 20 Waterproof Hiking GPS
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After losing a Garmin etrex vista hCX which I loved, I decided to go with the Dakota 20 (D20).I will be comparing the two in the review.

Maps and Storage:

The D20 comes loaded with a basemap, which has most major highways, but no streets. So for your purpose, you can choose City Navigator (required for auto navigation to work), or Topo 2008 (shows mountain countours & most lakes).Luckily, I had both Topo and City Nav on my computer.

Since the D20 comes with 850mb of internal memory, it's enough for self selected regions in Topo 2008 and/or Inland Lakes map, but not for City Nav.I put in a 4gb microSDHC card, which handled the 1.2gb .IMG file of the city navigator map. What might trouble some is that the D20 does not come with Mapsource(a great program for making custom maps, and upload trails and routes) or any kind of software. The hCX comes bundled with Mapsource. Although if you purchase the City Navigator, it comes with Mapsource.

When combining multiple maps onto the device, the D20 is much more convenient as you simply add the .IMG files (must have different file names) into the Garmin folder.D20 will automatically detect the maps and enable them.In the hCX, you had to merge all of the .IMG files into one or use seperate microSD cards, which was a toll. The D20 stores the saved tracks individually as .GPX files, whereas the hcx clumps all the trails into one file(named by date).

Auto Navigation:

I didn't find much info about Auto Navigation for the D20 before purchased, so I wasn't sure what to expect. After trying it a few times, it's definitely a step up from the hCX.There's an Automobile mode for navigation, where the map is tilted so you can see the turn coming from farther ahead. The directions text is noticeably smaller on the D20, which might be hard for some to read, but luckily you can adjust the text size of the directions. You can also customize what information you want to see (i.e-distance to destination, odometer, etc.). The D20 gives almost the same beep as the hCX when turns are approaching(no voice of course). The D20 navigation overall is more pleasing to the eye.

Battery Life:

The hCX wins on battery life 25 hrs vs 20 hours on the D20.There is a battery save mode on the D20 that definitely improves battery life. How it works is the screen will turn off in about 15 idle seconds to save power, and you simply touch the screen to see again. On D20's regular battery mode, I noticed the battery drains very quickly -definitely less than 20 hours.Recharcheable NiMH AA batteries are a must since you'll be going through them quickly.I use Sanyo Eneloop and Rayovac Hybrid.Be sure to change the Battery type under Setup>System to get the correct battery meter.

Visibility:

This has been the biggest complain by some, but I found the visibility/brightness on the D20 to be suitable for most types of lighting, including in the sun and in the dark. You can adjust the backlight (although brighter means less battery life).I'll admit it can be harder to see in certain angles of sunlight, but this hasn't been a problem during auto nav or regular use.The hCX is slightly brighter, but it's not a significant difference.

Accuracy:

During initial use, the satelites weren't detected on the D20.I had to walk outside before the Satelites could lock on. The D20 has three modes for Satellite: Normal, WAAS, and Demo.I've had the most accurate luck with WAAS as i'm assuming it's using the new satelite technology. On the D20 i've gotten accuracy as close as 10 ft, whereas on the hCX 20ft was usually the closest it would ever get.In general though, the satelite signal on the D20 is about the same as the hCX.

GPS Interface:

This is where the D20 far outshines the hCX.You navigate through all of the menus by touch. This is such a relief from using hCX's mini joystick and side buttons. What's nice about the D20 is you can move the map around by sliding your finger on it, whereas on the hCX joystick you have to sluggishly go at an angle. The D20 works much faster in operation. For example, it refreshes the maps considerably faster than the hCX.This equals less headaches when trying to pinpoint a location.

The layout on the D20 is very straight forward. The main menu contains all of the icons (Map, Where to, Track Manager, Setup, etc.) and you can scroll through all of the features by the arrows on the bottom corners. The hCX has a higher learning curve as you have to manipulate multiple buttons to get somewhere.

GPS Use:

I use the D20 for fitness activities: kayaking, jogging, cycling, and hiking. I can easily plot my map with distance and tracks(breadcrumb trails) onto websites that map .GPX files(Mapmyfitness, Motionbased).I use it too, of course, for auto navigation. The hCX is capable of doing all these things as well, but its not nearly as modern and simple as the D20.Resetting the track took me a few minutes to figure out, but it's simply Setup>Reset>Reset Trip Data. You have to use this command right before you go jogging, biking, rowing, etc. -otherwise your new track will mix in with the prior/current track. It'd be nice to have shortcuts on the D20, but no biggie.

Profiles and Customizing:

A nice feature on the D20 is the ability to create profiles.I have a profile for driving, and one for exercising. It keeps the settings and maps you want selected automatically saved into the profile (i.e- City Nav for auto, Topo for exercising). You can also rearrange or get rid of buttons in the main menu, specifically for each profile. This is extremely useful in having all the features you need in one or two screens. With the hCX, you can customize the features, although it is not nearly as simple to rearrange as the D20. The hCX does not have profiles.

Overall:

While it was quite unfortunate I dropped the hCX in the lake, the D20 has proven to be a suitable upgrade and replacement. The D20 and hCX both have their strengths and weaknesses, but i'm definitely enjoying the experience of the user friendly D20.I have yet to determine it's true ruggedness, but will post updates if anything else should be mentioned.
