For a two AA battery operated hand warmer, it really designed it well. Some people complain its not warm enough, but the truth is one can't expect the same heat from a fire pit. And this is one of the best in the market.
The turbo heat option is very neat and it does make the device warm enough at a good comfort level.
I use my Maha battery charger to charge up the batteries, and I put the new Energizer 2300mAh batteries inside. You can use any NiMH rechargeable batteries for this. Just keep a spare set of batteries and its good to go!
